Pacific Ballet Foundation
Who We Are
Pacific Ballet Foundation is a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization that was created in 1972 as a performing arts and education organization. Our foundation is dedicated to offering Bay Area ballet students high quality performing opportunities in addition to dance enrichment programs for the local communities.
For more than five decades, the Foundation has supported the art of ballet through performances that bring dancers and audiences together. Each year, our programming includes a series of productions and community events that provide meaningful performance opportunities for emerging artists while sharing the beauty and tradition of dance with audiences throughout the Bay Area. From our beloved annual Nutcracker to our Spring Showcase, Gala, and community-focused events such as the Mountain View Dance Festival, these productions reflect our commitment to artistic excellence, education, and making the performing arts accessible to all.
Yearly Productions
The Nutcracker
For 35 years, The Nutcracker has been a cherished holiday tradition for families throughout Mountain View and the Bay Area. As the first ballet production and ballet company invited by the City of Mountain View to perform on the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts stage, our production has become an enduring part of the community’s holiday celebrations. Each year, audiences are transported into the magical world of The Nutcracker, filled with enchanting dancing, beloved music, holiday wonder, and the timeless magic of classical ballet. After 35 years, the tradition continues to inspire new generations of dancers and audiences alike.
Spring Showcase
A celebration of artistry, tradition, and the next generation of dancers. The Spring Showcase brings together Pacific Ballet Academy students and Studio Company artists for an evening of new choreography and classical ballet, inspiring audiences while giving young dancers the opportunity to experience the magic of the stage. Each season, a different beloved ballet is brought to life, offering dancers and audiences a new opportunity to experience the timeless stories, music, and artistry of the classical repertoire.

The Mountain View Dance Festival
The Mountain View Dance Festival was created to celebrate the extraordinary diversity of dance in our community and make the performing arts accessible to everyone. The inaugural 2026 festival brought together dance organizations from across the Bay Area in a vibrant celebration of movement, artistry, and creativity. Featuring a wide range of dance genres and styles, the festival welcomed audiences of all ages to experience the breadth and beauty of dance. The inaugural event was a tremendous success, reaching theater capacity and filling every seat. Most importantly, it demonstrated the power of dance to bring people together, inspire audiences, and create meaningful connections within our community.
Annual Gala
Our annual Gala is an elegant celebration of dance and the centerpiece of our yearly fundraising efforts. The evening begins with a champagne promenade, inviting guests to gather and celebrate before enjoying a specially curated performance by dancers from the Studio Company. The program features excerpts from both classical and contemporary repertoire, showcasing the exceptional artistry, versatility, and dedication of our advanced dancers. Following the performance, guests are invited to continue the evening with dining on the terrace. Beyond being a beautiful night of dance, the Gala provides vital support for our organization and helps sustain opportunities for dancers, performances, and arts programming throughout the year.
